Setting Goals in 2022

Setting Goals in 2022

It’s a new year! Time to set goals! Of course, as mental health professionals we are experts in helping others set goals. How often do we take the time to write out our own SMART goals? Not just, “I’m going to be more mindful this year”, but actually writing them out using the same methods we use in our practice? If you’re stuck on goals to set for yourself, a quick Google search for “Goals to set for 2022” came up with 425 million results in less than half a second with tips for what goals to set and how to write them. Sure, they’re written by professional writers and can help you write something beautiful, but what about putting your goal setting or treatment planning template to the test, templates we spend so many hours using, and use it for yourself for your own goals?

One goal on everyone’s mind is stress management. We’re in a world of new and ongoing stressors everywhere we turn. So many of the phone calls and emails we get from the mental health professionals include conversation surrounding the stress of license application and renewal. We are here to make things as easy as we possibly can and do not want to add to that stress!  While our official role is to provide the educational courses required for licensure, and while there are many topics we aren’t able to provide guidance on, we’re absolutely available to talk you through the application process as best we can. As a licensed mental health counselor and a qualified supervisor I’ve been through the process many times myself, and by talking with so many mental health professionals I’ve met through Ross Counseling I’ve learned a great deal about some of the hurdles that can be faced. Please reach out by email, phone, or text. gwendolyngreen@aarossfamilycounseling.com, admin@aarossfamilycounseling.com, or call/text 561-704-8746. We’re here for you and want to celebrate your journey to Florida licensure with you!

Thank you for contributing to another successful year for Ross Counseling and best wishes for a successful goal-setting and goal-meeting 2022 for you!
